The following are the core beliefs of Brockton Assembly of God based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
We are an Assemblies of God church, and our beliefs reflect those held by the AG fellowship. Below is a brief overview of what we believe.
The Bible is God's Word – It is inspired, true, and our guide for faith and life.
There is One True God – Revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God – He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and will return.
Everyone Needs Salvation – We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus.
Water Baptism & Communion – These are essential practices of our faith.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit – A distinct experience with power for life and witness.
The Gifts of the Spirit Are for Today – God empowers believers through the Holy Spirit.
Sanctification – A lifelong process of becoming more like Christ.
The Church Has a Mission – To worship God, build up believers, and reach the world, and minister to the hurting.
Healing is Provided at the Cross – We believe God still heals today.
Jesus Will Return – There will be a rapture of believers and Christ will reign forever.
There is Eternal Life – Heaven for those who believe, and eternal separation for those who reject Christ.
